This horse had quittor surgery and the hole goes from above the coronary band to the bottom of the foot. The treatment plate is removed using a 7/16” wrench, the foot is soaked, and then the plate is replaced. In our hospital, an arrow is created on the plate to orient to the front of the plate and the bottom of the foot.
